Yet, because the membership roster is filled with firms a lot like ours – independent and entrepreneurial with deep roots in our community and powerful local knowledge of real estate market conditions and trends, we gain a perspective on the real estate industry that generates value for our clients in many ways. Being affiliated with like-minded, experienced and accredited real estate professionals allows us to continually learn the best practices in our business and do the best job possible for our Atlanta clients. CORFAC also hosts two or more conferences each year, with some of the breakout sessions focused on training, education and professional development.

For example, at the upcoming CORFAC Fall Summit in Boston, CCIM Instructor Jeremy Cyrier will give us tips on differentiating our listings and how to avoid the pitfalls of defaulting to a lower price to sell a property. In other CORFAC training sessions, we’ve learned how brokerage teaming can work to enhance client service, and how to mentor our “Next Generation” brokers to learn the skill and craft necessary to excel in commercial real estate, and serve our clients to the best of their ability. We also share best practices online and through email, when we think we can improve upon a working document, for example, whether it is a lease abstract or property management contract.
